Skip translation for specific content
Add the no-translate-fluentc comment to leave content in its original language while FluentC still translates your navigation links.
Updated
Some content should stay in its original language, such as legal notices or code snippets. FluentC has a feature for this called Short-Circuit Translation: skip translating this part, keep everything else working.
When you use it:
- The original language stays untouched for the content you mark.
- Your links still point to the right language pages.
- Your layout and design stay the same.
- Right-to-left language styling (Arabic, Hebrew) still works where needed.
When to use it
- Legal pages, such as Terms of Service or a privacy policy, that are only valid in one language.
- Technical content, such as code examples, system instructions or product specs.
- Any page you must not translate.
Skip translation
-
Add this line to your website content, before the content that should stay untranslated:
<!-- no-translate-fluentc --> -
Publish the page. FluentC leaves the content that follows the tag untouched and still updates your navigation links, so visitors can browse in their selected language.
Example
<!-- no-translate-fluentc -->
<h1>Welcome to our site</h1>
<p>This content will not be translated.</p>
<a href="/about">About Us</a>
<a href="/contact">Contact</a>
The headline and the paragraph are not translated. The links still work in other languages: someone browsing in French lands on the French versions of the About and Contact pages.
